Tinder has just launched a new feature called Incognito Mode, allowing users to browse through profiles anonymously. This means that your profile will not show up in other users’ recommendations feed unless you “like” them. However, this feature is only available to those who have subscribed to Tinder Plus, Gold, or Platinum, which comes with a varying cost based on the user’s age and subscription length.

Previously, Tinder’s algorithm would surface your profile in the recommendations of other members, regardless of whether you swiped right or left on them. With Incognito Mode, your profile will be hidden from other users unless you have expressed interest in them. This feature is meant to help ensure that your profile is viewed by the people you want to see it.
It’s important to note that while you can hide your profile for free, turning on the feature means you won’t be visible to anyone on the app and you won’t be able to view anyone else either. This may not be ideal if you still want to use the app to find a date.
