The entry level model with Core m3 ships with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You’ll find 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the Core i5 variant. There is also a Core i5 version with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage if you pay enough.

If you want more storage and speed, then we recommend shelling out for the Core i7 (4K display) model which packs 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

It’s slim and lightweight. The body measures 12.2 by 8.1 by 0.5 inches (WDH) and weighs 2.3 pounds. You won’t have problems hauling the Pixelbook Go in your backpack to and from school.

Competing Chromebooks like the Google Pixelbook Go (12.2 x 8.1 x 0.5 inches, 2.3 pounds) and HP Chromebook x360 14 (12.8 x 8.9 x 0.6 inches, 3.5 pounds), are unsurprisingly thinner and lighter than the Acer Chromebook Spin 15.

Other than the average design, the downsides are few and far between. Still, there are a couple of things that raise an eyebrow all the same. The first is the fact that speakers aren’t top-notch. Its sound is sufficient for solo use, but only just.

Second, the Acer Chromebook Spin 15’s trackpad feels slightly stiff at times. The trackpad can’t compete with what you’ll find on top end blowers, like the Lenovo Yoga C930, Dell XPS 13, and Razer Blade Stealth.

Rounding out the feature set are the ports. The laptop parades two USB-C ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a microSD reader, and an audio jack.

Acer claims the Chromebook Spin 15’s battery will last up to 13 hours on a single charge. In practice, the battery actually lives up to the 13-hour claim on the box. We’d be the first to disagree if it wasn’t true.
